Accountancy, Business and Management (ABM)

The ABM strand in its most fundamental sense refers to basic concepts of financial management, business management, corporate operations, and all things that are accounted for. In other words, it focuses on accountancy, business, and management academic programs as well as each and every factor that revolves around those central fields.This track will help you to improve your knowledge about business and management, you will know more about business techniques and enhance your management strategies.

This is a flexible strand allowing you to study the fundamentals of accounting and business management with the option to then focus more deeply in either field. If you are dreaming of working in the corporate world, go for the ABM strand.
This course will prepare you for a career in management accountancy, management consultancy and business management where you can become a business leader or an entrepreneur.

The ABM Track is for those who plan on taking up Economics, Business Administration, Accountancy and Marketing in college. Those who are planning to take up HRM should choose this too. Since you have enough grasp about this topic. Let me discuss you the possible jobs that you may take after taking ABM and after pursuing the overall degree. Aside from what I have aforementioned, It can also lead you to careers such as sales manager, human resources, marketing director, project officer, bookkeeper, marketing director, accounting clerk, internal auditor, and a lot more.

Compared to other job tracks, ABM students are aware of the Laws of a business, like Value added tax, taxes, and salaries and how this happened. ABM also tackled Taxation Laws, Financing and Accounting Laws.

There is no room for uncomfortable feeling here. Yes, it is hard. I personally say to you that it is never been easy to take ABM as academic strand. But let me share this quotation to you, according to Les Brown, You must tell yourself, ‘No matter how hard it is, or how hard it gets. I’m going to make it.’ There always a room for improvement. No one starts great, failures are always on those trials. Failures are along with passion and success. Doubts kills dreams. Never let it happen. Taking the ABM Strand track will allow you to see many opportunities to start and run your own business. You will be trained in practicing proper time management and develop many other skills that are going to be applicable for almost any career path that you choose to pursue.

Also there is a wrong perception ruling in strand world. They say ABM is all about math but the truth is it is more on analyzing and of course there was a Basic Math needed. It is must to know how to compute a fundamentals operations simply addition, subtraction and so on because it is needed in order to balance a financial sheets. Also by taking the ABM strand you will be trained to analyze assets, understand everything involved with financial positions, interpret various profitability, and prepare audit accounts.

Mainly, this academic strand will enhance your Analytical Skills, Collaboration Skills and Time management. Analytical Skills which refers to the ability to collect and analyze information, problem solving and making decisions. This skill is really essential for different types of jobs not only in the careers that can be achieved in ABM Strand but also in other variety of fields. Collaboration allows for a more productive way of getting tasks and goals. Collaboration Skills enable people within a company or organization to engage with each other productively and efficiently. Lastly, Time Management allows you to accomplish more in a shorter period of time, which leads to more free time. With this, you may be able to lower your stress and you can also have time to discover your skills. ABM Strand practices each one of the students to manage their time effectively and efficiently. Time Management is one of the greatest skills that we could have, especially as you begin your journey in higher education and when you start to build your own careers.

As a result, ABM can help you to grow individually as a youth grown to a Man and Woman. A man or woman whose financially stable. Have a enough knowledge in proper handling of a business and own finance. A being whose wise when it comes to managing a money.
